Jaggy Road Neighborhood Park (4500 NE 72nd Ave.) is getting a new playground! This 3.4-acre park serves the Van Mall and Walnut Grove neighborhoods in north-central Vancouver.

Thank you to everyone who completed the pre-design survey in May. We're working on creating the new playground design based on your feedback. We'll share a concept design for additional feedback in the fall. Be sure to sign up for email updates to stay informed about next steps in this project.

Overview

Installed in 1996, the play equipment at Jaggy Road Neighborhood Park is in poor condition. It does not meet current ADA standards and will become a safety concern if it is not replaced. In 2026, Vancouver Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services will replace the play equipment to better serve the surrounding neighborhoods.

The budget for this project is focused on replacing the play equipment in the existing playground location. The project may include adding a few additional amenities like benches, picnic tables, bike racks and trash cans.
