Comment Period: Draft Environmental Impact Statement
Sign up for email updates to be notified when it is time to comment!
Understanding Possible Impacts
- The City is studying how each alternative (the two land use possibilities) could impact different aspects of the built and natural environment.
- A report, called a draft environmental impact statement or DEIS, will be published that describes these potential impacts.
- The environmental impact statement process is required by the State
Public Comment Period
- Once report is published in July, you will have the opportunity to provide comments.
- You will be able to
- Learn about the possibilities and their potential impacts through an updated StoryMap,
- Attend an in-person or virtual event to learn about the plan (see the events on this page!), and
- Submit comments using an online form, or by email, mail or phone.
How Your Comments will be Used
- Staff will use
- information in the DEIS,
- comments on the DEIS and other feedback from engagement,
- City policy priorities (including equity, climate, and safety), and
- direction from City Council
- to draft a final map, called a preferred alternative, that combines the best features from the different alternatives.
