Thank you for working to create a safer, more inclusive Vancouver.

I like the saying "we are all pedestrians." Complete Streets, Place Making, Livability context measures, mixed use, grid vs arterial, etc, all embrace this notion, and I heartily applaud and encourage this. There are humane, healthy and economic reasons to implement these. Creating safe and welcoming places for people of all ages and mobilites is the hallmark of a genuinely inclusive city and no city can call itself inclusive without this.

I walk all year round and there is not question that walking is a much more effective way to know the neighborhood, and neighbors, than speeding by in a car.

Speeding cars on Brandt between 18th and Mill Plain are very concerning. I appreciate the improved crosswalks, but why do we not have speed cushions here? This is a hill and the temptation to speed down is obvious, as people driving their cars and trucks speed down it constantly.

Please consider creating a more encouraging atmoshphere of slowing down on Brandt between 18th Street and Mill Plain. Thank you.
